You already own a good 16 ga recreational trap gun. Your 16ga Browning A-5 1929 will do nicely if the barrel is 26" or over and is choked Mod or tighter. Your Ithaca Model 37 or Model 12 would t ...

From my previous post, "from my Citori". I said not a word about these loads in older guns. I wouldn't for the same reasons DC states. I wouldn't light one off in a very light gun either--un ...

For an SxS in that price range? One word says it all--Merkel. Just my opinion.

Any 16 gauge hunting gun is adequate for recreational trap singles. A longer barreled pump gun is ideal IMO, but there's nothing wrong w/ a 28 inch O/U either.

But if you intend to shoot registere ...

Like others have stated, I'd rather have a couple or four 1-1/4 ounce 16 gauge loads in my vest rather than run back to the parking lot for a 12 gauge in the hopes the bird will stay put long enough f ...

Frankly, 1-1/8 oz of #5 shot will do the job out to between 30 and 40 yards very well given the right choke selection, load performance, and shooting ability. There are about 175 pellets working for y ...

Sorry to confuse you Fred. CSMC named their 101 based O/U the Model 21. Don't ask me why. Probably a marketing strategy based on association, not fact. It's slick marketing spin to sell the gun to fol ...

Did Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Company buy a gun line to produce the Model 21 Over & Under?

YES, in 1996, we purchased the ...

Specifically where did you get the information that SKB made barrels for Connecticut Shotgun???

Not SKB barrels Fred. CSMC buys (or used to buy) unfinished (rough) SKB receiver and barrel blocks pl ...

The closest you will come to an SKB 16 gauge SxS is one of the CSMC RBL models. The action and barrel blocks are made by SKB for CSMC. Prices for used seem to start at around $3900.

However, one o ...
