That is a C grade, or Trap Grade, depending on which catalog described it at the time. Early on the grades were described by letter, A, B, C, D, E, or F.

BillK is correct. Ruger deemed it unsafe. They should have given you an explanation, though. Most likely this was due to a cracked or bent/damaged frame. Not an uncommon procedure, really.

Very nice. Looks like a D grade. Definitely NOT a standard grade. It does have a good bit of honest wear, but still looks very serviceable. I'd love to have a high grade Model 11...  |

That's terrible! I've converted a safety button on a Remington model 11. It was a dedicated left hand safety that I didn't want to modify. I ordered a new safety button from Numrich.
