fleet farm here raised there prices earlier this year on the 12 and 20 federal field and range promo loads...... from 3.29 to 3.99 a box!

fiocchi golden pheasant #5 and the new #4's (if you can find them) sound better in the mod choked barrel.

that's all well and good, but 1 1/4 oz is a 12ga load  
fiocchi, rem, win, 1 1/8oz of #5 and #4 can produce 70% patterns at 40 yrds with assumably shorter shot strings and less recoi ... |

as brdhnt suggests, go with the fiocchi's, they are excellent shells |

rem high velocity field loads for trap
those 41/2" disc's are made of clay very easy to break.
i think i know where your recoil problems are coming from in 16ga gun |
