Be careful, you'll be wanting a couple A-5's in 20 and 12 gauge.

The in vector + chokes were put in the A5 in 1994 to 1998.The 16 gauge never got the plus chokes. Standard Invector's only.

Nice find. I'd hate to waste them on doves. Sadly that's pretty much the only bird hunting we have around here. So few quail around here I'd feel bad killing one. So I just keep my old shells to look ...

A ring bulge is the most common problem when shooting steel in guns not meant for it. Almost purely cosmetic in nature when shooting an auto or pump but is a disaster for a double.

Silly. Just use # 3 or 4 steel and if you can shoot and hit what you are shooting at you will get your share of pheasants. And along the way you might ruin a gun worth a few thousand bucks.

Had a couple single shot bolt .22's a lifetime ago we used to shoot rats with running across barn rafters at night. Slip in quietly and flip on the lights. You could run back and forth between 3 or 4 ...

Hevi-Shot is good. Shot a lot in 20 and 12 gauge and a little from the .410.

The 16's I hunt with most is a '55' Sweet with either full or mod fixed choke barrel. Or an older Model-12 so I shoot ...

I don't think anyone is saying you can't kill pheasants with steel shot. But I will say if you are going to get consistent kills with steel it needs to be the fast stuff. Don't waste money on slow ste ...

If I have to shoot steel I'm taking the 12 gauge. If I was to shoot pheasants with steel it would be a 3" 12 ga. 1 1/8 oz load of 2's or 3's at 1550 fps+ . Any and all of the slow steel 1300 fps ...

Off the shelf loads it would be hard to beat Win. AAHS Super Sports 3/4 oz shells. If you buy the right time of the year you can get a $2.00 a box rebate and can always sell the empties.
