I was using the older purple herters hulls with cheddite primers and the DR 16 wad. Lead load was #8's. I also tested some blue fiocchi hulls - no real difference than the purple herters.

Just bought this from my buddy today. Barrel code is KA, which translates to May 1954.
28" barrel and 7.18 lbs.
