If I'm going to drop $6k on a sidelock, I'll go with that Hussey at Morphy's, which we discussed a couple months ago.
That's nothing against this Belgian gun. But at $5695 I think it's overpriced.

You should be able to tell the year of proofing - the Belgians used letter codes stamped near the proof marks.
