Spikes advice is worthwhile. The mag cap should be tight enough so there is NO play between the forend wood and the metal, but should not compress and stress the wood.

Nice gun. You'll be very happy together. As mentioned before, keep the chamber spotless and you'll avoid one of the major causes of not cycling.

Learn how to set up the friction rings and you'l ...

With a couple of modest exceptions like the recoil spring Remington parts will not fit on an Auto-5.

Rem 11 parts will fit on the American Browning made by Remington during WW2.

There are more d ...

There is a lot of kludge sold on the net. It is a great place to troll for inexperienced buyers. Before the net it was harder to sell these things, you had to hit the shows and look the buyers in th ...

Post the serial number and we'll tell you what year it was made.

I agree that the shells are easy to get via mail order, but I load my own because I shoot a lot of them.

In addition to Art's Mid ...

I think the A5 will handle the chamber pressure, just put the rings on the heavy setting and make sure there is no oil on the mag tube.

One other thing, the hard tungsten/iron pellet loads should n ...
