LOP is 13 5/8" and DAH is 2 13/16". I did not measure the drop at comb. Neutral cast.

Fantastic color and depth to your photos. Very nice! What camera/lens were you using? I particularly like the colors in the barbed wire shot.

The only way to know something is to try it first hand. I'd say - get the 28, try it, and then decide if it was a mistake or not.
