High brass does make the shells easier to handle, especially in a hunting environment where gloves might be worn.
Please explain how.

Seriously look into the LeFever Nitro Special, made by ithaca. Well worn shooters fetch $200-$300 in todays market. A flues would be even cheaper but action strength is a potential issue. |

I have a 315 Stevens aswell. Mine now has 2 3/4" chambers. The 315 was made before the 2 3/4" chamber and is most likely 2 9/16". |

The Ithaca built Lefever Nitro Special was never offered in MAGNUM chamberings.
My bad. The NID was offered as a 3" 12 gauge but on the 10 gauge frame. |

Put the bore gauge down the chamber today. Its got 2 3/4" chambers alright. The taper rate on the chamber decreases as you get to the 2 3/4 mark and holds at .7325 for just over 3/16".

cheddite data should work. only issue is rio hulls use a oversized primer. rio primers are needed. |
