If you're observant, you'll see that I'm a fan of the 97.
However, I wouldn't recommend that model as a grouse gun. I've enjoyed mine as a pheasant slaying machine, along with a few ducks and geese ... |

You may already know that the model 12 16ga was built on the 20ga action, so really, you have nothing to gain by acquiring a 20ga model 12 vs. a 16 ga model 12.

Uhhhhhh, model 97 16ga is very definitely not on a 12ga frame.
They are all steel and built like a tank, so they are by no means light, but they are very sleek and have a rather low profile / compa ... |
