Have shot about a thousand of these with a cheerio in the bottom, 7/8 oz. lead 7.5 , Unique, Cheddite plastic 2.5, 8 star crimp....shoots great......shake them up first in a bottle of powdered graphit ...

You are right there boomer.......the 1200 FPS loads are called "wood crackers"..."stock splitters" and so on......that's why so many old doubles have cracked wood.............most ...

The older Belgium guns are more or less hand made by real craftsmen...I have three......the JPN guns are made by CNC machines...good....but not like the Belgium guns....the trick is to find MINT guns ...

It means when the barrels close down over the receiver, the fit is not correct...space is visible between the end of the chambers and the breech face...best checked with a piece of paper etc....

My A-5 16 Browning was made in 1928, has the 2 9/16"- 67mm chamber and cycles perfectly with most 2 3/4 " modern ammo...the RBG's work especially well....I also shoot lots of hand loaded 2.5 ...
