I have a Merkel I run about 200 rounds of 3-inch steel through a year, right up to BB for geese. No scouring, bulging, or problem of any sort observed in the bore or chokes.

The proof mark is a 16 over C inside a diamond.

The "70" is towards the muzzle on the flat.

My my book, the Quilomene's are hard to beat. With the built-in camelback water carrier, they are a hunt saver for early season warm temps. or dogs that are a little prone to overheating.
