I have been out six times thus far this season. Yesterday was the best day so far...8 grouse flushes and 3 woodcock. Definately down from last year as of now. I agree with Patrick...could get better ...

Nice gun...I have a matched pair of Griffin and Howe game guns, although they are 20 ga. I shoot them very well and the quality is excellent

The Superlight Feather 16 is a good grouse gun, if you like barrels stacked one on top of another, The day I bought mine I shot four grouse. Unfortunetely for it, I almost always carry sxs's

The fox sterly would have been a good option....one of the better made of the top three.....The Superlight Feather in 12 or 16 are about the only O/U I have any use for any more

Man you guys are over weight!!! the only 16 I have any more sigificantly over 6lb is a Aya #2 at 6lb 4 oz.......How about a Merkel 1620e at 5.75 lbs and never misses! Then there is the W&C Scott ...

I found an once of nice shot out of the open barrel of a new 28ga sxs to be the perfect first round fired when it came to smoking a wild late season Iowa rooster!

I would not shoot modern ammo. I load low pressure shells for all my older guns, keeping under 8000as much as possible. I am not sure of the answer to chamber length
