I hunt often with a Bernese Mountain Dog. Sometimes we get too caught up in the fine details, when we should just go hunt.

That is a an awesome gun at a great price. With the modern pad and choke tubes, that 31 is twice the gun of any 16 ga single barrel gun available new today.
