I’ve got a couple of case colored shotguns. A 20 gauge side by side and a 12 gauge over under. And I really like the way they look. I just don’t think I’d like a color case-hardened Auto-5.

Visiting Art’s a year or so ago, I asked Art’s son Brad about that comment. He admitted that his father was in error and they get their short shells from the internet.

P 1 K 284.6. is Poids (weight) 1 Kilogram, 284.6 grams, the weight of the barrels.

The diamond with the 16 C inside is the black powder proof. P.V. is Poudre Vive, the smokeless proof.

Per S/V, Sweet Sixteen ribs are .280” tapering to .260”, vs. .the 335/.317” standard.
As far as I know, this applies to both solid and vent ribs. Incidentally, “solid” ribs are hollow.

I did some testing today. To measure capacity I filled three 65mm hulls with #8 shot. A paper Cheddite held 78.3g, a Plastic (cut down) Cheddite held 81.3g, and the Xpert 72.1. In ounces that’s 2.7 ...
