I finally settled for 1 1/8 #6 at around 1400fps out of a M-37 16ga ,.05 choke this was over 10 years ago.

How far are you able to shoot that load/choke combo?

My full choke 37 with Remington' ...

Rem Hull
Win 209
14 gr International
Claybuster pink 16 ga wad
3/4 oz mag 9
20 ga Spred-R

Shot one at just over 20 yards. Called it a day and loaded up ...

Try using chilled shot instead of hard shot in the "tight at 25 load"

It is chilled shot. I've had chilled 6 open up a 1 oz load, surprised these 8s aren't doing the same.

The only time SR7625 gets dirty is using it for reduced loads. Keep the pressures over 9,000 PSI and SR7625 is spotless.
