The CF's are smooth, the rest are ribbed. I once had a bunch of them, but they are gone now, I still have hundreds of the old 12 gauge polyformed and they are ribbed also.

The Lee Loadall is not a good one for 2 1/2" hulls. To do it you should cut off 1/4" on the final crimp station. The hull will hang up if you don't. Get a Mec and save yourself some headach ...

What Mark says. If your starter does not rotate a hair as you start the precrimp it is hanging up on the hull.

I have shot whitetail deer with my 16, dropped them just as quick as my 12 gauge does. Cool


+1 , a load of #1 buck in a 16ga is a very lethal on Whitetails and will kill them just as dead as any 12 ...
