My prewar Sears Ranger (Marlin 90) has 2 3/4" 16 ga chambers. I've never seen any reference of one with the short chambers.

Only a few years back, I wouldn't even consider a shotgun that didn't have a vent rib, screw in chokes and a single trigger. Then Charles Hammock posted a very nice write up that sparked my interest ...

Being comfortable with double trigger guns opens up a whole world of older interesting doubles. Few new guns interest me-discovering a nice old Sauer or Lefever - now that gets my blood moving!!!

As mentioned above, it's basically the same gun as the Nikko/Winchester 101. Great gun. I'd grab that one up.
