Has any one heard when the new order of t;he R16 wad is going to be shipped from Recobs. My understanding it would be sometime in may.
I'm getting low on wads. |

I am as well. Originally it was going to be mid-March. When I talked to Chris last month, he said that Remington would still not give him a date. But then again, it has been a month. |

I don't play their game of overpriced wads.I use the SP16 with fillers or the appropiate 20 ga wad.It is far cheaper to join the 16 ga Society and obtain real data |

Well, actually, if you've seen the new prices for many of the wads, inexpensive ones are getting scarcer by the day. You can thank the big oil companies for this one. All petroleum based chemicals and products are going up. So is freight. I warned you folks about this last year. Procrastination costs you money in the long run. Live and learn. |

You're behind the technology curve, Guy. There's a small company out here in Iowa now making wads using ethanol--and being a corn state rather than a wheat state, the company requires an agreement that you use only Corn Flakes as filler. |

I have misplaced the telephone number for Chris at Recob's and would appreciate it if someone could post it again. I'm about 60% of the way through my first order and something tells me I better order at least 2500 more.....
I found 1,000 original R-16 wads at a gun show in their original bags, about 6 months ago, but this stuff is getting harder to find, and the lack of availability of 16 ga. loaded ammo and absolute scarcity even of SP 16 wads is making me very nervous.... |

Ethanol...how about that. Next thing you know, they'll be making them in a single malt flavor. then you'll need to use rolled oats as filler. |

No, I don't think so. Congress and its opposition to exploration and refinery construction, coupled with speculation in commodities, is largely to blame. Socialists and Marxists like to blame capitailists, but a major component is big government, not big oil.

...which explains the record profits in the last three quarters. Please!! Our federal and quite a few of our state governments are just front men for the most powerful of the special interest groups in this nation i.e., the military-industrial complex and big energy. The corruption in our so called "representative leadership" is so thorough as to make the system a bad joke on the citizenry. That is why entities like Haliburton have been able to turn the Iraq war into a catered affair...cheeseburgers and laundry service for the troops at a huge profit. Its good business to keep the war going. It causes uncertainty in the commodities and energy market. speculators are having a field day. most of the biggest speculators are also the same folks who direct the international energy business. Its why every big oil exec gets more shares for a bonus. It keeps tghem focused. Its endemic. Get used to it. the only thing that might change it now is a nationwide protest and a constitutional convention to help put the representative part in this government back in the public's corner. Thats about as likely as the statue of liberty growing wings and flying to LA. the average citizen today has been harnessed by the weight of trying to make a living for him and his family. We all work for pharoah. |

E-85 pumps sprouting up about as quick as the corn's coming out of the ground, out this way. And Detroit is finally jumping on board the ethanol bandwagon. I need to replace my pickup soon and will be looking for one that is "flex fuel" capable. I'd much rather give my money to Iowa farmers than to big oil. |

Just be careful when ethinol takes over all the crp ground out there will all be corn. Back here in the east when they cut the corn they bale the stalkes and plow the field no cover at all. I think we need to drill our oil or switch to hydrogen. |
