Hi All...!
I'm a newbie to this site.... Ive just purchased a spanish sxs 16 ga very high quality gun,... seven pin side lock, ejectors, extensive engraving, bushed firing pins, cocking indicators, AA fancy walnut, 22lpi 27 3/4 " bbls
ic/mod.......! but I can not find any info on the maker The bbls are marked (Garate Y Menbie) Eibar Espania there are no inported marks at all..! Has anyone heard of or have experience with this maker(no doubt a small maker in
Eibar....!)...? Thanks ....!  |

| look on the flats for the proof marks, gauge/chamber length, etc. You should see the makers code. Some are easy AyA etc. There is a web site that lists the Spanish Maker marks. If unsure, just post what you see on the flats. Jeff |

http://web.jet.es/rafa/b_punzones.html gets you to the page with dates, proof marks, and maker's marks. includes makers no longer in business(extintos).
A fellow had a neat web site devoted to Spanish guns a few years ago.Had lots of information and photos. Unfortunately the site is no more.
