I just want to make note of the fact that the GunTalk forum and the 16ga. Society passed through their 5th anniversary yesterday.
First the forum... we have had 2373 contributors pass through the forum and they have offered up 60,408 posts of 16ga. information. I want to thank each and everyone of you for stepping up and sharing both your wisdom and your good cheer.
While there have been some rough spots along the way, I believe this forum is setting the standard in the industry for the amount of good content and the civilized manner in which it has been delivered. No one need be tentative about asking a 16ga. question here. It also helps that we have a good subject to talk about and that there is a need for the information. There are still too many 16 gauge guns hiding in closets.
As for the 16ga. Society, I want to thank everyone (1,404) who have chosen to join the Society as well. Your participation has made it possible to keep the website alive and up.
I believe that there is a unique common bond between those in the Society and I witnessed it first hand in ND last Fall. We are probably more like-minded than we realize and that is the underlying reason why all this works so well.
I have enjoyed this 'hobby' and have had great satisfaction in seeing it grow. I intend to keep it up as long as I am able.
Keep up the good work.
Regards, --Doug |

Doug,
Thanks so much for all you do for all of us, and for helping to keep this, the grandest of shotgun gauges, alive. I'm proud to be a member and to call this board "home". Good on all of us for the knowledge and help we give each other. Happy anniversary, 16ers, and many more!

Doug - sorry I didn't notice your anniversary post until now . I would like to thank you for all your hard work and dedication over the last 5 years. I can't remember how much it cost to be a member but after being part of the group for some time now I'd say it was not enough based on all the knowledge, insight and enjoyment I've experienced. |

Doug, thanks for your hard work over the last five years. I am really lucky to have found this site. I have made a few friends because of it and also have learned a lot about hunting and shotgunning all with my 16GA of course!!!! Thanks again. |
