PB has worked well for me with pressures low enough to be very comfortable for old doubles. That bloody high volume Nice and ITX are making me learn roll crimping, however.
Some I had tested by Precision Reloading are in SPR's listing now.[/code] |

One powder is too boring, so I try to mix it up. Mostly I have used 7625, but have tried Longshot, Greed Dot, Unique and 4756 to varying degrees. |

I get good patterns and results for hunting loads, 1 oz and 1 1/16 oz, with Lonshot. |

What hulls do you use for your SR7625 7/8 oz loads? Also, what's the powder charge (grains)?
Thanks. |

Sorry to dig up an old post, but...
I see your load for 1oz loads but there are, with the exception of one Z16 wad, only SP-16 wads for Federal hulls which I hear are a problem with powder migration in this hull/wad/powder combo. Is this the load you're using, or one not published?
IIRC you do use Federal hulls and maybe some others, and not many Rem hull (which do have a few good hull/wad options for 7625 in 1 1/8oz, but I may be confusing you with someone else.
Reason I ask is I have one 8 lb keg and about 2/3 of another from my IPSC days. Thx.

I like Unique and WSF for 1 oz loads with proper wad in compatible hull for 1 oz 16ga. The WSF is particulalrly nice in Win CF and Rem Black hulls. |

I use what ever I can get my hands on that is usable for 16 gauge. Have had good luck getting Longshot, Unique, Hi-Skor 800X and 20/28. From all the posts, it sounds like there are more powders out there that will do the trick.
How do I get the 16 gauge loading data / manual from this group?
