My mec 9000 start to cause a little problem while I was reloading some trap loads. It started to make a snap when the handle is raised. When the snap engages it is enough to snap several pieces of shot out of the shells that are not crimped.
I have looked it over very carefully to find the problem while engaging press for the rotation of the plate but cannot find the problem. I took the press off of the table and cleaned it grease and oiled any place where it has any moveable parts but still no good.
I have had this press for at least 10 yrs and never had a problem.
Anyone ever had this type of problem or have any ideas. |

I would isolate this down to the rotation--check out your piston, etc what makes your shell plate move |
