Was looking around today and found this two bbl set - both 16ga - on the Custom Shop website:

http://www.browning.com/products/catalog/firearms/custom/detail.asp?id=1891&cat=008L&sn=Windsor+Or+324MT04632

Beyond my budget.
Thought I'd share if others can swing it.

Is that a true Superposed or Citori?

If this gun is a Superposed it is a first. Browning has been trying to develop a 16 Super on a 20ga frame/receiver for a number of years. Is this gun built on a 12 receiver??

To clarify.... y'all know as much it as I do from the webpage. I'm as curious to know the answers to the questions each of you pose above. Since I'm not buying, didn't want to waste the time of the Custom Shop or one of the Custom Shop Dealers w/ a call or e-mail.

Downloading the catalog seems to indicate it's a B25 and "Windsor" is the engraving pattern (see page 5 of the .pdf).

For that kind of money, I'd go for a Win 21 16ga pigeon grade 2 barrel set and have money left over to buy some shells!

I am aomewhat abashed to publicly announce that I am a candidate for the purchase of the Windsor engraved 16 gauge two barrel set gun being discussed here.

As soon as negotations are completed with the local University Medical School on their use of my splendid 81 year old (dead) body for research, and we come to an agreement on its value to them, the gun is mine.

I'm doing my best to get them to agree that they should not pay more for my corpse than the cost of this splendid piece of firearm art. They are playing hardball with me, so I may have to accept their offer before some other old codger gets into the act.

Sometimes the price gets in the way of enjoyment. Wink

I'd like to be able to say that if I spent that much on a gun, I wouldn't be afraid to use it, because I could obviously afford to see it depreciate, but I don't know, if there was ever a safe queen candidate, that would be it.

Doggai, for lack of a better / eloquent way of saying it.... Thanks for paying it forward. I hope the negotiations work out for you and you thoroughly enjoy the piece.
