Ain't it amazing what you can learn on the web.
Was perusing the Fine Gun Room at www.basspro.com. They have an innovative approach to categorizing guns. For instance, who knew that at least one Fox SW was made in europe? Or that Henry Atkin made guns in the US?
But the piece de resistance was in the European Guns listing (though there are 2 other categories for British guns). They have a genuine Cogswell & Harrison "AVANT TART". Sounds a bit like my mispent youth! Anyone else seen this model?
Wasn't there a subsequent model, the Apres Tart? Shooting this gun produced symptoms like: extreme fatique, total evacuation of the wallet, and often a case of the carnal flu.

I see that the Browning Cynergy is also a British gun. Interesting! And they have an 8.2# 12ga OU that they describe as a nice quail gun. |

Don't you realize that any gun you buy from Bass Pro comes equipped with the newest Farquah 7000, fully automatic bass casting reel plus a box of the latest Guppy 3000 Bug-eyed Gullywopper bass lures? And if you act now, they'll throw in a free spool fill up of their latest Disappearing Mystery Polymer super Mono line. I'd go for it if I was you. |
