I dragged the wife out of bed at 6:00 am today. Told her we were going for a ride, to scout some new grouse covers. I found about 4 new areas, so we took the dog for a walk before it got to hot. We put up 3 grouse. All singles, no family units, and no woodcock. Come on September.
Oh, this was in Wisconsin, as there are no grouse in Michigan. |

I'm up around 4:30 am everyday. I woke her up at 6:00 am and said I was heading north. If you want to go, lets get moving. She didn't have a problem with it. She likes being in the woods and watching the dog work.
I honestly think she's killed more deer than I have. She's got lots of patience, and can set in one spot all day long during deer season. Not me. |
