Just letting folks know, Bass Pro Shops is selling the Rem Game Loads 1oz@1200fps right now for $33.60/case.

They list them at $36.60/case in the store, but the advertisements show $33.60 so they'll honor that at the counter.

Just picked up 8 cases in Pa and 4 in Ga at the Bass Pro shops and both charged $3.69 a box. No discount.
The Bass Pro in Pa had 3 more cases of 7.5's, I figured someone else might want a flat or 2, and they had a bunch of 6's.
I got the only 4 cases of 8's they had. Sorry, nah. Wink

Hmm, guess it's a store by store basis. They had price at $36 in the rack, but on the end of the aisle they listed all game loads (including 16ga) at $33, so they did honor it.

Sorry for the false alarm.

I just bought 4 flats of 8's @ 3.69/box here in Denver. Of course when I asked if they carried 16g ammo, the kid told me "Nobody makes 16g any more and they don't carry it." So look for yourself like I did. They had 6, 7 1/2's and 8's, all Rem Game loads and all for $3.69/box. Good price. As I'm sitting on five thosand R-16 wads I need to start getting some empty Rem Hulls. Another excuse to shoot!

Hey, you tried. Wink

I lucked out in Ga at the Bass Pro with the 4 cases I got there. All of the Rem Game loads were the standard $3.69. Well the 16 ga were all marked on the rack at $3.27 a box. I asked and the guy told me that someone forgot to raise the price. He gave me all 4 cases for $3.27 a box. Not bad. Very Happy

Our Basspro is finally due to open in a month or 2. Hoping for some great Grand Opening sales!

Well, if nothing else it's nice that BPS carries the RGL at a good regular price, and seems to stock plenty of the 7.5s, which can be hard to find at other places. I do have a hard time finding the #8s, but it's not a big deal.

Exactly. The Dicks stores carry the 6's and 7.5's but not in any quantity. It will be worth the ride out to Harrisburg every once in a while to get the ammo when I need it.
For right now however I think I'll be fine with 14 flats. Especially with bird season coming up in Nov, I won't be shooting much trap or SC. Rather shoot real birds. They taste better. Laughing

I envy you guys with a Bass Pro Shop nearby. I'm happy when I find gameloads for $4.50 or $5 a box. I was at a Meijer store the other day, and they only had 4 boxes of the Winchester in No. 8 and 10 boxes of the Remington in No. 8, so I bought 'em all.

The happy news is there's a Bass Pro going up now in Portage, Ind., and it won't be much of a drive for me. Hurrah!

MGF,
BPS in Harrisburg isn't close for me but it may be worth it to take a ride once in a while for the ammo when needed.
Other option is to buy a SC gun in the "other" ga. that has ammo available every where at better prices. Question

But at least you're getting a BPS close to you. Buy up those RGL. Wink

Nah, only 14. Wink

Passed on another 3 or 4 flats at the Harrisburg BPS in 7.5's. I just didn't need that many more right now. Especially with bird season coming up. I won't be doing much clays and trap shooting.

Now, gotta go ready to shoot some trap this AM. Smile

MGF,

You already have a BPS at your doorstep...it's called Bass Pro Shops.com. Order however many flats you have a mind for. They are shipped out of the Missouri warehouse. You're closer than I am here in PA. Only cost me $9 shipping for 2 flats. And I think as shipping is calculated on the $$ spent, rather than on the total weight of the package, the more you buy, the cheaper the shipping.

500 empties should last my reloading appetite for awhile..
