I've been loading Fiocci 67mm hulls with no issues on my MEC JR, but I'm going to move down to 2 1/2" and it appears that I will not ba able to get good crimps. I'm not that interested in roll crimping so I'm looking at buying the MEC short shell kit.
Their adds say its fing for either 12 or 20 ga, and they fail to mention 16....typical. Has anyone used it? Is it ok for 16's Is there another solution that I should consider?

Jeff, I bought a 16 gauge specific short kit directly from MEC (phone order). I never found it in their online catalog, but they did have the best price.

When you order it would be a good time to also order any spare parts you or your buddies need.MEC is a great company but it makes no sense to pay several dollars shipping for a 50 cent part |

My VersaMec has different height attachment points where the mast mounts onto the base. I just put the screw in the next higher hole when going to 3" from 2 3/4" 12 ga. hulls. Not the same with the 600 Jr? |
