If anyone knows the whereabouts of a gently/lightly used Uggie AOC/SG 16 bore, I'd surely appreciate being pointed in the right direction. Thanks.

Love the name. Leather Stockings and Hawkeye are two more good ones. J F Cooper was one of my favorites in my younger years. Still is come to think of it. Welcome to our little settlement Mr. Bumpo. Stow your gear and draw a pint with us. Uncas and Chingachcook can cut a slab from the venison roast on the spit if they wish.

Thanks for the Welcome, 16 GA Guy Very Happy

Read a lot of the American Classics in school and J.F.C. was one of the best. Luved the latest remake of his "The Last....... " as well.

Have had plenty of 20s and 12s over the years, but now need to get up to speed with th All American 16. I've heard good things re the Uggie AOC 16 and now hope to be able to find a nice one.

Regardless of what else you might hear to the contrary, I'd also suggest an AyA 16 ga. Matador if you can find one. I took possssion of a 1960 model last year and have had tremendous luck with it. The single selective trigger and ejectors are working to perfection and the gun's barrels are about the best regulated I've ever seen on a double. They both shoot to exactly the same POI to 40 yards. The gun has 28 inch barrels and weighs just under 6-3/4 lbs. It swings like it was on ball bearings and handles more responsively than lighter guns I've owned. I was not an SxS double gun fan until i got this one. Now you could not pry it away from me.

I've heard all the horror stories about these guns. However, Based on my experience with it, I could not replace it for three times the average value.

LION COUNTRY SUPPLY in state college PA is the importer of the Ugartechia same gun. Sorry if I messed up on the spelling. $1295 for the gade I $1995 for the grade III with ejectors. Can also get a sidelock for $2700. I shot one of the grade III's a while back nice gun.

The AOC/SG guns are quite a bit nice than the typical Uggie Mdl 30s, at least the ones i've seen. I've got my bead on one, lets see if it can make the cut. Smile

Well, you could start with the scalloped back action fitting and go on from there. I've seen both models, side by side, and the AOC/SG was nicer fit and finished in every way. Just my two coppers. Cool

And I'm sure Jon H. would be more than happy to explain it to you.

Natty, there's one on gunsamerica.com for $2495 nib if that fits your price bracket. However, its not from Aspen so I don't know if they'll honor the the new gun warranty. The gun is similar to an AyA 4/53 it seems except the rear of the AyA action is not scollaped

If Aspen is not distributing these guns to other dealers, then I check on the used prices of these guns. Price is well over the average going rate for a 99% gun and not much below the price of a new one. Perhaps you can negociate a better one or just spring for the new one with a lifetime warranty from Aspen.

hey there,

Found one for you at shotgunworld.com. I believe it is $1975.00, excellent condition. It is in the classifieds under SxS. There you go, good luck

That is a superb choke combo in a 16 ga field gun if you know how to manipulate loads from spreaders to cased wad loads. someone knew exactly what to order on this gun.
