Well after trying to conceive a 32" 16 ga. fo a few years I finally planted the right seed. Upon news that maybe with trying a little harder one could possibly take hold. After several tries I got the good news that one could be on its way. To my surprise my ffl guy called Me and said the stork arrived about 1:15. Come down and sign the birth. Certificate and take her home I jumped in the truck and 30 minutes later I was cradling that baby in my arms. Not adopted but brand new. Still in the cradle. It had the prettiest 32" tubes foward of its breast ( I mean breech ). After cuddling I put her back in the original box and took it to her new home. After arrival
out of the box she came.then a good scrubbing and some tender rub down with oil i picked her up gentle. Cupped her gently to my shoulder. barrels came up right where I wanted. The papers say grade III 32" barrels. Let you all no how she cries out Saturday at the range. And for now Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night. Old 16 |

Can't get bucket to go on this phone. I'll have grandkids get me going on this today. In mean time I miked both bores Wednesday . I have 18" bore gage. Top barrel clef. at .667. Bottom was .669. The imp. mod choke ck at .028 constriction. Full ck at .038. Which I thought for the full is a litte tight especially for 16. Which shows in bottom barrel being .030 & 041. Havn't patterned on paper yet. Will be shooting Saturday evening though on practice rounds.
What your thoughts on bores and chokes. Old 16 |
