Just joined and though I'd take the opportunity to introduce myself.
I live in small market town in East Dorset on the South Coast of England, surrounded by mostly arable farmland and big estates.
Shoot mostly clays and some formal driven game when the budget and season allows..
Own an antique 12ga boxlock non-ejector (interesting history, happy to oblige but don't wish to bore you all unless invited)
I was looking for just one gun to do everything, and after going through a succession of new and used over and unders and semi-autos settled on a 16ga AYA number 4 side by side as an all round gun for clays and game.
As you might have guessed I'm a little bit of a traditionalist having had o/u's and sa's and settling on 2 side by sides, which I hope to supplement shortly with a hammer gun
Glad to meet a group of people to appreciate the versatility of the 16ga, I'm still preaching over here where it's 12ga, maybe 20ga and nothing else! |

Welcome!
I am a recent fan of the 16 gauge, with a SxS and pump. I shoot mostly clays and use a M-21 SxS. We don't have much competition for 16 gauge guns, but we are trying to keep it alive.
Shells are sometimes difficult to find, and many of us reload to get exactly what we want for a specific application.
Shoot straight- |

Welcome, Smoky! When the mood hits you, you'll have to tell us more about some of your hunts and also about gun control in your part of the world. I'm sure you have some experiences to relate. |
