We are in the planning stages of the 2007 National Classic Shotgun Festival. We hope to again hold it in Chicago, Targeted date is late May 2007.
Should we offer 16 gauge only shooting events?
What would tempt you to participate? |

I would go if it's not on Memorial Weekend.
I'm also working up some 16 gauge black powder loads. These are going to be so cool. Should have them perfected by then. |

Hi Hal:
I made it to the shindig at Northbrook the first year (when it was hosted by the other folks and very expensive), but could not make it last year due to work conflicts.
I'd love to drive up to Greyslake and shoot at Northbrook again if the timing fit my schedule. It would help if events and practice rounds were not too expensive either.
I do have a couple of new ladies to show off - Ms. Elsie and Ms. Sterlyworth in 16 ga. to go along with the other 410, 28, 20, 16, and 12 ga sxs I own. I've also been practicing a LOT of low gun and random delay targets in skeet (more on the clay delay voice release I now own later).
THANKS.... |

Rates at the most recent event were significantly less than the first year. The 50 target skeet events were only $20.00 for 50 targets. Oractice was in the $4.00/$5.00 range per round. Overall, pricing was down to what is normal in the Mid-West. There were no complaints about cost!
Events will be offered in Skeet, Trap, Sporting, 5-Stand, etc. Hope that the date is established soon. This is a MUST GO event for those in the mid-West. Northbrook is a great venue! |

I found last years event to be very reasonably priced. |

Hal, I was there for the Vintagers two years ago, but didn't make it last spring. I certainly want to get there again next May but couldn't do it on Memorial Day weekend.
Also would be nice to have some special 16 gauge events. The prices quoted above are certainly reasonable. |
