I think I have some of the old paper Ranger hulls stowed somewhere. The unique aroma of paper shells always takes me back to learning how to shoot, with my dad throwing clay pigeons for my brother and me. |

I've used about everything but in my favorite hunting spot a wooded series of ridges the crows are usually doing a fly over responding to my calls. Govern the height of the trees most shots are straight, up through breaks in the canopy and are 30-35 yards at least. If pushed I would say #6s and a modified choke is my favorite. If you gun the same ridge to often they will get very skittish and if you get a shot they will be going over high and fast trying to get a eye on you then a full choke won't be a handicap. |
