Back up and running!! Was this the planned outage to switch servers? Or was I the only one who couldn't access this board for two days? |

No 662, you weren't the only one.
I am just as pleased as you that all is well again! |

Yes, this was the server switch and happened more quickly than anticipated-I can stop self-medicating my acute withdrawl (I think Fin was using single malt ) Thanks again to Doug and Smith for all that they do |

Yes, this was the planned outage. The DNS & server switch has been made. Please be aware that some users might notice a delay of up to 48 hours, before their particular internet connection can see the new server. So, if someone you know is telling you they still can't log on to the board, that is normal.
I hope this switch has increased the board's speed, please feel free to chime in with your experiences here.
Thank you,
Smith Long |

Am I supposed to get the error message saying that I can't make another search so close to the last one???
Other than that, it seems fast enough especially on my new fibreoptic broadband connection. Wow, talk about no lag time. |

There is a buffer built into the forum code, it sometimes limits a user's ability to search in rapid succession. depending on the total traffic on the site. This allows for better performance for a wider audience.
Make sense?

I wondered if it was part of the fix while the board was down. I guess not. |
