What is everybodys thoughts on osc, I can't seem to find a load with cheddite hulls that fold crimp worth a darn |

You might try an OSC,Cheerio, cut felt wad or other spacer below the shot. On some recipes I have used OSC's when using #9 shot to keep the shot from coming out of the tiny hole in the middle of the crimp. All of the above will work. |

OSC are fine but I like a filler (cheerio) below the shot and the crimp
really firms up.

If after preloading a cheerio pellet in the wad and the crimp does not fold without a little hole in the center, think about stamping out a clear plastic disk from a deli or supermarket food takeout container for on top of the shot. The thin foam deli takeout carton disks work, too. Except you can't see the shot, unless you work for the TSA. Then you can divine it. |
