There's got to be one of those "Life's Good" T-shirts depicting the scene yesterday at our shoot outside Shelbyville Kentucky.

About thirty folks of all shapes and ages basked in 70 degree delight with no sign of the typical Ohio Valley balm. The birds were most cooperative. Limits were had. The post hunt food and libations plentiful and what did I find in the field leaning against the round bale adjacent to me.......but an attractive young blonde of the female persuasion merrily swinging ....are you ready for this?? Her recently delivered vintage 1900 12bore Purdey.

Ya gotta love it when a plan comes together and the planets align so well!

Cheers,

Brad

Funny you should ask about Montezuma.

She and I were chatting and she said told me she was dying to get out west and try pheasant.

Holy crap !

It was at this point that I reminded myself again that I am a happily married man to a wonderful hot blonde for over 22 years.

I told her how awesome Kansas is and my little voice reminded me how screwed I would be if the subject of Montezuma came up. It did not.

I have never given my Cathy reason for concern but trying to convince her my sole interest in my new found traveling buddy was her SXS would be over the top even for Cathy.
