Shocked It seemed innocent enough. I would satisfy the 16 gauge gods and openly admit to buying a 90% 20 Bore VHE Parker via a well known auction site. And you all must remember I even promised publicly to make sure that I always had more 16's in the safe than anything else. Which I do.

But NOOOOOOOO apparently the gods were not only dissatisfied they must have gotten drunk ,real pissed and then said let's crucify this guy so bad he'll never look at another contraband gauge again.
The results of their efforts:

I go to pick up the gun at my local dealer and it's condition is terrible, bent top lever and what was described as a minor repair looks like it was done in some one's garage with a Dremel tool.
I refuse it and tell e'm to ship it back and upon returning home I find an IRS letter in my mail box disputing my tax returns in the amount almost the same of what I have paid for the gun ( I'll let you guess the amount).

You may assume I will not be operating heavy machinery, handling sharp objects and will be hiding under my bed for the remainder of the day.

From what I can tell so far the seller seems to be honorable and I expect to get my money back. If not I will publicise his name well but I don't expect that to be the case.

Oh well....Life goes on.

Did he say what the 90% good or 90% bad? You gotta look at the fine print.....

As for the IRS, good luck, whip out the ole' lawyer on 'em, and hope the lumps end up on them rather than you.....

What's Ronnie Deutsch's phone number? Very Happy

BTW, don't bring your 16 gauge to the IRS for show-and-tell. They tend to frown upon that....or worse.

Man, sorry to hear about your day!

I hope to learn vicariously on this one, and not to forget the lesson either.

Perhaps a sacrifice to the 16 gauge gods is in order, such as selling one of the non-16's, or better yet donating it to a local youth gun club.
