Been starting to reload for my Sterly and Model 12. Came to find I mistakenly ordered DR16 wads instead of SP16's. Going through the recipes I found this one for most of what I have on hand except for the primers:
Cheddite 2 3/4" 7/8oz. SR7625 21.3 charge Win209 DR16 6,800PSI 1110FPS.
I don't have the Win209 but I do have lots of CH209. Can I substitute these primers? I'm waiting for a shipment of SP16's but would like to use this rainy day to practice reloading.
Regards,

So Mike,
If I read that right, my Cheddites would probably produce a lessor pressure than the Win209? Or not . . . When I'm flying aerobatics I stay within the prescribed limitations established by years of test flights and engineering. Going beyond those limits will assure disaster. I'm having that same feeling when I look at that data. Maybe I should just be patient and wait for my UPS driver this week before I go off the charts. Thanks for the heads up!
Regards,
Mike |
