Sometimes things just don't go your way. Finally purchased a 16 ga reloader, met up with guy during trip and took home. Older metal version. I'm happy until I get home tonight to load my first load. Before I get the components out I decide to practice de-prime and walk through process. After smashing 3-5 hulls I move on to another station figuring I need to adjust the first one. Notice hull doesn't fit in base plate there or any other station. Pull out my loan 20 ga shell I had sitting and sure enough it's a 20 ga not a 16 ga model. (Charlie Brown Ug).
Know any interesting trading a 16 ga reloads for an old version 20 ga? Or someone interested in selling or trading the conversion parts? |

If you go on eBay and search for MEC Loaders, you will find a guy that sells them on a regular basis. I do not have his name with me, but if you look for his pictures you will see a Wall of Peg Board full of new MEC parts in the bags. He and I have talked and he will be rebuilding a couple of my MECs. He has great prices and was very interesting to talk to. Look him up and you might find a way to swap out parts etc.

Sounds like you did not get what you payed for. I would take that up with the vendor. |

Bdog crossed my mind but I only paid $60. Would rather trade if it is an option, I just hate to purchase a new conversion kit and have as much in it as a new one. |

I just bought a MEC myself from a guy out here in Az. He has a bunch of freshly rebuilt 600s that he advertises regularly in local classifieds. He's also a 16ga society member, but I don't know if he frequents the site regularly or what his handle is. If you're interested I can pm you his contact info. |

I have seen his auctions. His first name is Ray.
I was born and raised in Mauston. Small world. |
