Don't know if any one has posted this info but I Found a loose round from last year and I was a bit bored, soooo I cut it open. What I found....
3" #3 hevi metal 12 ga 1 1/4 oz
-155 grains, .355 oz. of hevi shot
- picked an average size pellet it measured .103 dia. or #7 size shot largest hevi shot pellet measured .130 by .104 it was disk shaped
-376 grains , .860oz of steel
- steel measured .139 dia. Or a #3 size shot
My guess is that #7 HS is same weight as #3 steel and there for should stay relatively close as a shot group |

| Hevi shot was loaded on top of the steel with a typical 4 petal wad, no Mylar wrap or other protective measures |
