Which manufacturers besides Federal make 16 ga. shells in purple? Sure which everyone would go to a purple hull so it was uniform. I shoot a lot of Fiocchi Golden Pheasants in the fall and at least they are blue. Remingtons are green or black. Winchester is red. B&P are green. Kent TM are green. |

Herter's from Cabela's are purple. They're Cheddites and reload nicely. |

I love my Toyota Prius and am a die hard Kansas State fan so ROYAL purple would be great! |

If all 16 ga shells were purple I'd sell everyone of mine and never buy another 16 ga! |

I looked through my stock of RST 16-gauge 7/8 ounce loads and only one flat of #7 1/2 have the purple hulls, all the rest black. |

Not to worry, all of my 16 Ga hulls are brass. |

All the RST's I've had are black. The Remington 16ga shells my dad used to shoot back in the day were green; that'll always be the proper color for me. Not a fan of purple anyway. |

Guys, I reload all my sixteens. RST violet 2.5" hulls are 3/4 oz. of #8, 2.5" red Cheddites are 7/8 oz. of #7, 67mm blue Fiocchi hulls are one ounce of #6, and the 2 3/4" red Australian Winchesters are 1 1/8 oz. of #5.
I'd go crazy if they were all the same color. LOL! |

Boy was I wrong! I'm packing for my trip west for the pheasant opener tonight; taking several boxes of RST 1oz 5's and 6's (being optimistic) and a couple boxes of RST 7/8oz 7-1/2's for pasture clays (all 16's of course). Looked inside some boxes and every single hull is purple! I would have sworn tthe last ones I got were black; any chance they turned when I wasn't looking ? |
