I am the proud owner of my mother's 20 gauge Model 90, Serial #15xx. I believe she got it for her 10th birthday or one soon after. She turned 10 in 1937. I would like to get back to hunting with it, but it simply does not fit me. Does anyone know of anyplace or anyone who could restock it fairly reasonably. I'm going to want a SGS, not very much drop and a 15" LOP.

Thanks for any info you may have.

I have had some stock work done by Dennis Earl Smith, The stock Dr and the work was very good. He is here on the forum, I would definitely contact him.

When I was looking to restock my 16 ga Marlin 90 I contacted Macon Gunstocks and they responded that they would be able to do and I thought the price was reasonable.
Suggest you send them an email. I ended up not doing it as I added a thicker pad and spacer, still could use some more drop but seems to be ok, I do not shoot it at targets a lot as it is too light of a gun, but do hunt with it occasionally, however, my A5 fits perfectly and I shoot it better.

Good luck, let us know how ti turns out and pictures.

Thanks for the advice. I've talked to Dennis and he and I agree that his work is too valuable/pricey for such a gun. I'll give Macon a holler and see what happens.

Steve square up with the gun and a longer length of pull is unessary. I am bigger than most and I use less than 14" pop.

The m90 is perfect as it was made before 1953 after that the guns were stocked wrong. I would change those stocks after 53

Regards Nick
