just sent a W-T-H to downrange to see what is going on with these wads . No one has them . The reply was that the nex tprod run (apparently last run was in the spring ) will be in a couple weeks . Sounds like a month or so b4 they show up . I guess I got the last 2 bags when I got them from Nelson lst mo . Have enough for now , but ,,,,,, |

I shoot through a few bags of these wads a year and need to replenish my supply. My buddy Greg goes through a few CASES a year, so we will be ordering when they are available.

In my hands 7/8 oz really fill up an RGL hull with the DR wad. I had to compress the wad legs a lot to make it fit. The DR16 is perfect for a 3/4 oz load in the Rem hulls.

OK, call them at 800-359-4571
They have them by the bag, per 1000 and per 5000

Mike , thanx ... My thread was more aimed at what the hallaluia have all the wads gone . Just seemed peculiar . After talking to the Downrange guy , I guess I can see . With their variety of wads , they just sched something on board once it sell out and they can get machine time for another run . Recobs is near RENO , so i'll probably lean on him to keep track with them . I'm good to this winter sometime . If I was 16 ga primarily , i'd be a little concerned , or if I was just starting out . My 28ga will keep me going thru thick and thin till i get my next stash if necessary ! |

I visited with Kevin at DOWNRANGE yesterday.
Keg shared with me that last years run of the DR-16 wad sold compleatly out ( to my and Kelvin suprise) he is waiting on machine time to open to run this upcoming years supply.
Thank you to everyone for supporting the wad it made the project a smile on my face and the wonderful Wizard promotional load that Mike made a reality.
By the way a hull that can be loaded over 75 times can be made.
A 3" payload can be put in a 70 mm hull.
#12 shot can kill turkeys and pheasants.
#9 shot ( I shoot this exclusively now for all things) will do it all. (THANK YOU BILL HANUS)
Ole Ben and I come to the conclusion that 13/16 OZ of shot was the perfect load for Upland shooting. Even better than my beloved 3/4 OZ.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!!!!!!
Regards. Nick |
