I've found a box of old Winchester Western duck&pheasant, 1 1/8 oz 16 ga. Has a code ww16pd6 on it. Mostly white with red bars across top and bottom and a Drake and rooster in between in the white area. My question is if any one knows if these would have a plastic one piece wad. Thanks

if the case is 1 piece , there should be some sign on the box . The innards are probably the built up fiber wad , plastic sleeve type .

These all had fiber wads with a wrapper around the shot.

Another solution is to fire one or two over a snow covered or closely mowed area. Then retrieve the remains of the wad column.

Thanks for the replies. Would these be the CF type hulls?

I several boxes as you described and all of them are paper base wad which is not a CF hull. The CF hull is smooth where most of the ribbed hulls are paper base wad. There may be an exception but I can't remember any, but I'm old and have a case of CRS every once in a while.
