I'm holding the neatest A5 16 I've ever seen.
It's a gun with three attributes that I believe only crossed paths in one year.
It's a Sweet Sixteen, in the 3 shot model with factory 2 3/4" chambers. It has a plain barrel which makes the handling super sweet.
The 3 shot was dropped from the Browning catalog by 1947 and was supposedly never offered with a plain barrel.
It may have as many as 2 boxes of shells through it since new....you can still feel all the burrs from the factory engraving. All I can say is UFB.
Pictures to follow.

So where'd you find it? And please don't tell us it was some $150 garage-sale find. Those stories just make me sick . |

I won't go into all the details on how it came to me but suffice it to say that it was on a major internet auction site this summer, the seller did not know what it was and did not describe it very well.
He did not know it was a Sweet and he thought the chambers were short, etc. The pictures were very good and if you knew what to look for, you could have figured out what it really was and had it for........I won't say but there was only one bid, at the minimum and it was low.
