I need someone with a greater wealth of information about Browning Superposed Belgian manufactured guns than I have.

I have a 20 gauge with two barrel sets, with V72 as part of the S/N. The receiver finish is gray unblued. It is a RKLT with gold plated trigger. I'm thinking the V72 indicates a Grade 5 made in 1972. In fact I know it was manufactured then because I know the history of the gun, previous owner, etc. The other 3 digits in the S/N may indicate its number in the manufacturing process.

Any ideas that will expand on what I've only guessed at?

So, the "V" means 20 gauge
Can you post a picture of the action
We will assist in grade

If you have a grey action most likely a pigeon grade, BUT I once had a Midas grade with grey action

As noted, the first series of numbers are the order of production, the V means it's a 20 ga, and the 72 means it was made in 1972. I'm not aware of any indicators in the serial number that indicate the grade.
