Does anyone know if the Herter's 16g purple hull is
re-loadable like...a Cheddite...or like a Federal purple?
The Herter's has a plastic basewad. The Fed has a paper basewad.
Help appreciated, recipes...Thanks
PS The Herters has stars around the brass head. |

The Herter's hull is a Cheddite. I've loaded a lot of them using Cheddite reloading data. Factory-like crimps and pretty durable. |

Thanks Guys. It helps because I have 6-700 Herter's cases ready to reload.
Cabela's had them at $59 a flat for a while, now $79. Pretty decent factory shell, soft on the shoulder but nice reach for anything within 45 yds.
Thanks again.
