Hello to all. I have owned 16's off and on for many years. My Dad had a Stevens 311 in 16 that was my intro to shotguns bigger than my 410 single. Bagged many things with it when young on the farm.
I no longer have but had 4 or 5 M-12 Winchesters in 16, a Parker VH O frame in 16 and a 2 bbl set AH Fox Sterlingworth in 16. I sold my collection years ago.
Did skeet, trap and Sporting clays for a long time using the 12 gauge.
I recently purchased a clean and tight M-12 16 with a modifed choke. One can't tell in the LGS but it had many little dings in the magazine that prevented the follower from working. I ordered a new 16 ga magazine from Nuline. Hope to get it in a few days.
I have some other M-12's and some Bennelli's. I prefer the Winchesters for Dove. Now I have the perfect dove gun. I have about 20 boxes of 16 ga ammo in storage and can't wait to start using it.
I've been wanting a 16 again for a long time. While doing research I found an article on Doug and you guys. While looking here this morning I see that Doug has passed. I'm sorry for his families and your loss.
I look forward to discussing the 16, perhaps meeting a few kindred spirits and maybe some hunting in the grey haired slow guy lane. |

I believe the folks who wrote the Constitution had a great plan. It is as close to a perfect article as ever penned. It is as important as our soul. |
