| Was finishing off some trimming (GET ONE OF BYRDOG'S TRIMMERS !) and digging thru the junk trunk , came across some FED 20s1 wads someone gave me . Don't really load much 20ga , but usually am on the lookout for stuff to use 16ga . Got a couple out and checked them according to an SP wad - virtually the same diam . I know Dave Erickson had got me onto the G-wads , but hadn't paid much attn. to others . Loaded up some with good Rem cases and my usual 13.5 Red Dot . Needed a cheerio (in this case some honey/nut) and 3/4 7.5's for some trap . (same conditions here D-I-M ). Got my 17/18 and zero puff shots . Cases opened nicely and by cutting the cases to 25/8 , the shoulder was eliminated . Stuff just comes my way (I'm the loading version of "give it to Mikey to try ) and most stuff is ok . So far , it looks like these are nice ! (still waiting for the DR backorders !!??) |
