I've read a dozen or so posts of why you shouldn't use 2 3/4 inch shells in 2.5 inch chambers but what about using 2.5 shells in 2 3/4 chambers on a Browning A5. |

shorter is always ok as long as : the shells create enough recoil to cycle your gun ... as long as it/they don't affect the timing of the gun . you won't know either until you try them . all rem 870's for instance are now 3'' chambers , but 95% of the shells thru them are 23/4''.... welcome by the way ! |

Please post pictures of your 100+year old 16 gauge Auto-5! Only a few 16 gauge guns came into this country until 1923. You have the rarest of Brownings. |

RST has 2 1/2 in 16's that they list as "A5 type", 1oz both lead and copper plated. |
